R.K. Dutta holds classes for probationers

Mysuru:  Member of Karnataka State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC) and Retired Director General of Police Rupak Kumar Dutta called upon the probationary officers to uphold dignity of life and other human rights values enshrined in the Constitution while discharging their duty.

He was speaking at the one-day interaction-cum-training programme organised for officials of State Prisons, Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Accounts, Economics and Statistics,  Police and other Departments at Kabini Hostel of State Administrative Training Institute (ATI) on Lalitha Mahal Road in city this morning.

He said, the Constitution of India had guaranteed equal rights and opportunities for all individuals irrespective of caste, creed, sex, region and religion. It has also ensured special protection for women, children and vulnerable sections besides to prevent atrocities and other offences in society. It is the duty of officials to uphold the principles of equality, dignity of individuals which are also core values of State, National and International Human Rights Commissions, Dutta said.
