Karnataka State U-7 Girls & Open Chess Tournament: Shriyana Mallya emerges victorious

Shriyana S. Mallya of Dakshina Kannada with 8 points from nine rounds clinched the Karnataka State U-7 girls chess title in the championships held at Bengaluru from Apr. 2-4.

Jeshyln Jinisha and Bhoomika Singh (both Bengaluru), Tanishka Jain (Mandya) and L. Vaishnavi (B’luru) secured 6 points from nine rounds and took the places from second to fifth respectively.

Mysuru girl K. Deeksha secured 5 points and finished 14th, while M.A. Saanvi with 4 points secured the 21st place.

Pranitha with 4 points secured the 22nd place. In the U-7 Open event, Ashith Kumar Gowda secured 5.5 points and finished 24th, while Trijal secured 4 points and finished 54th in the final placing.
