Karnataka State Veteran’s TT Tournament: Raghavendra, Mamatha bag titles

Mysuru’s B.S. Raghavendra won the 60+ men’s singles title, while J. Mamatha of Income-Tax Department, Mysuru won the women’s singles title in the Karnataka State Veteran’s Table Tennis Tournament conducted by PTTA at here on Sunday last.

In the final of the men’s 60+ section, B.S. Raghavenra beat A. Nagaraj (MYS) 11-9, 7-11, 11-4, 6-11, 11-3 and in the semi-finals Raghavendra beat M.N. Raghavendra (MYS) 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 11-9.

Men 40+ Finals: Kirankumar (BNG) bt Ashwin Venugopal (GMTTA) 11-7,11-2,11-3. Semi-finals: Kirankumar(BNG) bt M.G. Deepak (GMTTA) 6-11,8-11,11-1,11-8,11-3;  Ashwin Venugopal(GMTTA) bt K. Sudir (RBI) 11-7,5-11,5-11,13-11,11-8.

Men 50+: Finals: K. Chandrasekhar (ISRO) bt K.N. Satish (MALL) 11-3, 11-8, 11-3. Semi-finals: K.N. Satish (MALL) bt D.P. Gopinath (MSSTTA) 9-11,11-8,10-12,11-4,11-5, Chandrasekhar (ISRO) bt Shivahonnaiah(BHEL) 3-11,11-3,11-3,11-8.

Men 60 + Finals: B.S. Raghavendra (MYS) bt A.V. Nagaraj (MYS) 11-9, 7-11,11-4,6-11,11-3. Semi-finals: A.V. Nagaraj (MYS) bt Mahesh Nayak (IC) 11-8, 11-8, 11-4; B.S. Raghavendra (MYS) bt M.N. Raghavendra (MYS) 11-8,9-11,11-7,11-9.

Men 65 + Finals: C.R. Lakshminarayanan (BNG) bt Udayshankar Rao(CU) 11-6,12-10,11-7. Semi-finals: C.R. Lakshminarayanan (BNG) bt M. Ramachandran (BNG) 5-11,12-10,11-8,11-6; Udayshankar Rao(C U) bt S. Mani (BNG) 11-7,8-11,11-7,9-11,11-7.

Men 70 + Final: Subbunarasimha (MYS ) bt G.Y. Prabhakhar (BNG) 8-11,9-11,11-5,11-7,11-9.

Men 75+ Finals: K. Sathyanarayana (BNG) bt B.U. Krishnamurthy (UDUPI) 8-11,5-11,11-8,11-3,11-8. Semi-finals: K. Sathyanarayana (BNG) bt K.V. Krishnamurthy (MYS) 11-9,9-11,11-5,12-10, B.U. Krishnamurthy (UDUPI) bt S. Gopalan (BNG) 11-8,11-9,11-9.

Women Finals: Mamata bt Bhavana Harne 11-5,12-10,10-12,11-6. Semi-finals: Bhavana bt Gathri Adiga (BNG) 11-4,11-7,11-9,  J. Mamata (I.TAX) bt K. Pradnya (BHEL) 11-6,11-8,11-3.
