Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Ursu Mahamandali Charitable (KUMC) Trust, Mysuru and Sri D. Devaraj Urs Endowment, Mysuru, had organised a programme on Aug. 27 to celebrate the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister late D. Devaraj Urs at Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple premises on Thyagaraj road in city.

On the occasion, the  book ‘Hena Horuvavana Vruttanta’ (Kannada translation) authored by B.R. Jayaramaraje Urs, IAS (retd.), was released and Ursu community Chintana-Mantana programme-2 was also held.

MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah inaugurated the programme by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Devaraj Urs. 

Speaking on the occasion, the MLC promised to speak to Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and appeal him to allot land for starting Educational Institutions by the Trust.

Litterateur Prof. C. Naganna spoke on the book. KUMC Trust President B.S. Sridhara Raj Urs presided.
