Karnataka Yakshagana Academy to digitalise Yakshagana episodes

Mysuru: Karnataka Yakshagana Academy has taken up the project of digitalisation of Yakshagana episodes besides uploading the works to the website of the Academy.

In view of this, the Academy has sought the Yakshagana artistes, Associations involved in promotion of Yakshagana art to send the Yakshagana audio and video records of their works.

The Academy will provide suitable remuneration for their works. Yakshagna of various forms such as Tenku, Badagu, Badabadagu, Mudalapaya Yakshagana, Yakshagana Gombeyata, Ghattadakore artistes can send their audio and video records.

They must send the records to the Office of Registrar, Karnataka Yakshagana Academy, Kannada Bhavan, Second Floor, Chalukya Division, J.C. Road, Bengaluru – 560002 before Oct.26, stated a press release from the Academy. For details contact Ph: 080-22113146.
