Kaustubha award for city poetess: Awards ceremony at Sullia on Feb.2

Mysuru/Mysore: City’s senior poetess M.S. Usha Prakash has been selected for the prestigious ‘Kannada Sahitya Kaustubha’   award instituted by Sullia’s Chandana Sahitya Vedike.

Usha will be conferred the award at a programme marking the 44th birthday of Cine Director H. Bhimarao Washtar, which will be held at APMC Auditorium, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada district, at 9.30 am on Feb. 2. The event is  jointly organised by Chandana Sahitya Vedike, Bhavana Media, Prajwal-Ujwal Publications, Dakshina Kannada Souharda Vedike and Lal Bahadur Shastri Cultural and Arts Association.

Usha has many poems, stories and articles to her credit and  also has the distinction of taking part in about 60 poet meets across the State.
