Mysuru: Marking May Day, Mysore Sharana Mandali conferred Kayaka Seva award on achievers in various sectors at a function held at Pathrakartara Bhavan here recently.

The award winners are Star of Mysore Chief Reporter S.T. Ravikumar, Mahalakshmi Tiffanys Proprietor Mallesh, MUDA AEE C.N. Lakshmish, Public TV’s K.P. Nagaraj, Praja TV’s Somashekar, Photographer Ravi Gavimata, Hotel Sandesh The Prince PRO M.L. Shivaprakash and Education Department’s Mahadevaswamy.

Speaking as the chief guest,  MUDA Commissioner P.S. Kantharaj said that every job is dignified and recalled that the great social reformer Basavanna too had claimed that work is worship.

He opined that identifying and honouring the achievers would be a morale booster for all.
