KCET-24 schedule advanced by two days; slated on Apr. 18 & 19

Bengaluru: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has advanced Karnataka Common Entrance Test  (KCET)-24 by two days to April 18 and 19 against the earlier schedule of Apr. 20 and 21.

In a press release, KEA Executive Director S. Ramya has stated that “The decision to advance KCET schedule by two days was taken as the schedule announced earlier clashes with the schedule of National Defence Academy (NDA) exams. Accordingly, KCET for Kannada paper will be conducted on Apr. 20.

The students interested to join professional courses can enrol for KCET online from Jan. 10 to Feb. 10. It is also clarified that, the students interested to join courses like MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BPT, BPO and BSc Allied Health Sciences have been already instructed to submit application for enrolment. After the announcement of UG NEET-2024 results, interface will be provided to the students registered in KEA to upload their score and roll number.

To bring in reforms in CET related procedures application and verification formats have been introduced which will save time earlier consumed in the physical verification of documents of the candidates. In the new format, online verification of the candidates, schools they studied, Kannada medium, caste and revenue and other details, will be conducted through the web service of SATS (Student Attendance Tracking System) and Revenue Department.

The document verification process that was earlier conducted up to one-and-a-half months will be now conducted during the submission of application. Hence the students have been categorically instructed to be cautious while filling the application and uploading all the required documents.

KEA has already identified over 250 expert lecturers as Master Trainers and trained them in filling the application. The Master Trainers have identified one or two lecturers in every science colleges and trained them as ‘College Trainer.’

The candidates can clarify their doubts, if any, in relation to the applications with their respective College Trainer.

KEA has also developed a Mobile App that can be downloaded from KEA website, the                           release added.
