Kendra Sahitya Academy Awardees

Bengaluru; Kendra Sahitya Academy awards for various categories of Literature were announced recently.  The book “Bahutvada Bharata Mattu Bouddha Taatvikate” written by Dr. Moodnakoodu Chinnaswamy, one of the prominent writers of Kannada, has been selected for the award.

Another book “Sita: Ramayanada Sachitra Maru-kathana” by senior journalist Padmaraja Dandavati has also been selected for Sahitya Academy award under Translation category.

“Bahutvada Bharata Mattu Bouddha Taatvikate” is a collection of essays and is published by Ladai Publications, Gadag. 

The book “Sita” written in English by Devdutt Pattanaik was translated into Kannada by Padmaraju Dandavati and is published by Manohari Granthamale, Dharwad.

The main award carries a cash reward of Rs. 1 lakh and a citation whereas translation award includes Rs. 50,000 cash and a citation. The awards will be conferred at a function to be held at New Delhi in  March 2023.
