Hanur: A realtor, who had gone missing in a mysterious manner from his farmhouse near Channapatna in Ramanagar district on Dec. 2, was found dead in a forest area near Ramapura in Hanur taluk of Chamarajanagar district yesterday.

Mahadevaiah (58), a realtor and brother-in-law of MLC C.P. Yogeshwar (who is also a former Minister), is the deceased. Mahadevaiah, who had huge stakes in real estate at Channapatna, Bidadi and surroundings, is suspected to have been allegedly kidnapped and murdered by a gang of three. The documents and clothes in the house were found ransacked, triggering the suspicion of kidnap among family members, who had lodged a complaint in this regard at Channapatna Police Station.

Meanwhile, Mahadevaiah’s cell phone was switched off but Channapatna Police had succeeded in tracing the mobile tower location to Male Mahadeshwara Hill Road.
