Kodagu farmer’s land sold to Mysuru man after creating fake documents

Mysore/Mysuru: An agricultural land belonging to a Kodagu farmer has been sold to another man in Mysuru after creating fake documents and a criminal case has been registered against the purchaser of the land and the person, who created fake documents.

The man who bought the land and lost his money is 46-year-old H.V. Dixit, a resident of Bogadi while Papanna of Madalli village in Jayapura hobli is the person who reportedly created fake documents and sold the land of the Kodagu farmer.

Details: One Deviramma and her family members had sold two acres of their land located in Madalli Survey No. 127/2 to one M.D. Aiyanna of Bethu village near Napoklu in Kodagu on Sept. 4, 2003 and accordingly, the revenue documents were transferred to Aiyanna’s name.

But on Aug. 30, 2021, the documents at the Sub-Registrar’s Office showed that the sold land has been registered in the name of H.V. Dixit and S. Shivakumar instead of Aiyanna. The documents showed that Deviramma’s second son Papanna had sold the land and Aiyanna, on Dec. 8, 2021, had lodged a complaint against Papanna and also against land purchasers Dixit and Shivakumar.

Dixit too had lodged a complaint against Papanna at Vijayanagar Police Station on June 1.

In his complaint, Dixit has stated that Papanna had sold the two acre land in Madalli Survey No. 127/2 to him on Aug. 30, 2021 and had got the land registered to him at the Mysuru North Sub-Registrar’s Office for which he had received Rs. 10 lakh and also a cheque for Rs. 22 lakh.

Dixit has further stated that as Aiyanna had lodged a complaint against him and Papanna at Jayapura Police Station, he had asked the bank to stop payment for the cheque he had given to Papanna. Dixit has urged the Police to take legal action against Papanna for creating fake documents and selling the land to him.
