May 4, 2018

Mysuru: A 27-year-old woman from Gonikoppal in Kodagu, who had come to Mysuru to her parents’ house, has been reported missing after she boarded a bus to Gonikoppal on Apr. 28 from Mysuru bus stand.

The missing woman has been identified as B.M. Chandini, wife of B.J. Muthappa of Gonikoppal.

According to the complaint lodged by Muthappa, Chandini, who was in Mysuru, boarded a bus to Gonikoppal as there was a religious ceremony there and she had called him over the phone and told him that she would be arriving at Gonikoppal at about 5.30 pm.

The complaint further states that, as Muthappa had been to Thrissur on some work, he had told his relative to pick up Chandini. As the relative could not find Chandini in any of the buses from Mysuru till about 9 pm, he called Muthappa and informed about the same.

Muthappa then tried calling his wife over the phone only to receive the message that the phone was switched off and then called Chandini’s mother who told him that Chandini had left for Gonikoppal. After he (Muthappa) returned to Gonikoppal from Thrissur, he searched for Chandini at friends’ and relatives’ houses but in vain and later lodged a missing complaint at Lashkar Police Station in Mysuru.

Chandini is 5.1 ft. tall, oily red complexioned, has a mole on her right hand, speaks Kannada and Kodava languages and was wearing a red coloured chudidhar, black pant, a gold chain and three finger rings at the time of going missing.

Those having any information about the missing person, may contact, Lashkar Police Station on Ph: 0821-2418107/307 or call Police Control Room on Ph: 0821-2418339.
