Kodava Samaja to celebrate Puthari Namme on Nov.30

The Management of Kodava Samaja, Mysuru, has decided to celebrate Puthari Namme on Nov.30 in a simple manner in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic situation.

The celebrations will commence at 6 pm in the premises of Sree Cauvery Educational Institutions in Kuvempunagar. Only Kolaata will be performed to mark the Puthari Namme. Kadh distribution will be made by Samaja volunteers and Thambutt prasadam distribution is cancelled. Nere kattuva ritual will be at 7.45 pm and Kadh at 8.45 pm.

As a prelude to Puthari, three-day Eedu programme will be held on Nov.26, 27 and 28 in Samaja premises on Gen. K.S. Thimayya Road, Vijayanagar 1st Stage, from 6 pm onwards. Only 3 or 4 cultural dances will be performed, according to a press release from Malachira M. Ponnappa, Hon. Secretary.
