Marking the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, the Kannada and Culture Department has organised Koti Kanta Gayana programme 2022 across the State. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office will conduct the programme on Oct. 28 at 11 am, which is also known as the 67th Edition of Kannada Rajyotsava initiative.
Kannada songs like Kuvempu’s ‘Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate’ and ‘Baarisu Kannada Dindimava’, Dr. Channaveera Kanavi’s ‘Vishwa Vinuthana Vidya Chetana Sarva Hrudaya Sanskari’, Dr. D.S. Karki’s ‘Hachchevu Kannadada Deepa’, Dr. Hamsalekha’s five tunes ‘Huttidare Kannada Nadalli Huttabeku’ and Huilgol Narayana Rao’s ‘Udayavagali Cheluva Kannada Nadu’, which spread the messages about the importance and greatness of Kannada and Karnataka must be sung at a time at the same pace.
The lyrics and style of singing is uploaded in the Kannada and Culture Department’s official YouTube channel. Anyone can participate and showcase their talent. Applicants will be getting the online certificate of participation.
Registrations may be done by logging on to kannadasiri. karnataka.gov.in/kkg/public. The venue of singing event will be announced shortly.
