Mysuru: A unique solo play titled ‘Koudi’ has been organised at Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET), Hardwicke School premises on JLB Road in city tomorrow (Sept. 18) at 6 pm.

The play will be performed by Mysuru’s renowned ‘Kavitha Kala Tanda,’ promising an enriching experience for theatre enthusiasts. Written by Ganesh Amingad, the storyline and characterisations are powerfully crafted. National School of Drama (NSD) alumnus Jagadeesh R. Jane has handled the music, design and direction for the play. Entry to the event is free.

Significance of the play: ‘Koudi’ (a traditional handmade quilt) is not merely a blanket stitched together from torn fabrics; it is a symbol of rural life, memories and deep emotional sensibilities.
