Mysore/Mysuru: City’s noted Neurologist Dr. Shushruth Gowda, who was appointed as one among several Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) General Secretaries 19 days ago on Apr. 6, 2024, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at its office in Malleshwaram in Bengaluru, this morning in the presence of BJP State Election In-charge Dr. Radha Mohan Das Agarwal and former Dy.CM Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan.

It may be recalled here that Dr. Shushruth had accompanied Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra. He was also a keen aspirant for the Congress ticket from Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency.

Dr. Shushruth Gowda is the son of late Dr. H.C. Vishnumurthy, a socialist and Founder-Chairman of the city’s Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital in Nazarbad.
