Harmonium solo concert at Ninaada

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of its ‘Ninaada Griha Sangeeta Series,’ Ranjani Memorial Trust has organised a harmonium solo concert by international musician and composer Pt. Sudhir Nayak of Mumbai at ‘Ninaada’, #37, Rishabh Siddhi Layout, Kergalli, on Apr. 27 at 6 pm.

Pt. Sudhir Nayak is a familiar face at most music festivals in India and abroad. He is a disciple of harmonium maestro Pt. Tulsidar Borkar and received training from the noted vocalist, composer Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki.

At an early age, Sudhir had the honour of accompanying stalwarts in the field of Indian Music. He is also regularly associated with contemporary musicians.

Sudhir has been invited as a visiting lecturer often through the Department of Fine Arts and Music, University of Pittsburgh, USA. He has also performed and conducted interactive sessions for music students of Brandise University and Ithaca College, USA and other educational institutions and Universities around the globe.

Sudhir’s musical performances are regularly featured on Indian television and commercial recordings. He has also composed music for many musical productions. Sudhir even participates in cross-cultural collaborations being a part of the ensemble ‘Koshish’.

KALA COAST is the brainchild of Sudhir, which is an endeavour to bring together all those engaged in practicing music and allied art forms from the cross sections of the society, together on one platform, to present, practice, perform, discuss, collaborate and profess their skills.
