Classical music concert, gamaka and felicitation programme

Mysore/Mysuru: Surabhi Ganakalamandira, Gokulam, is organising a Karnatak classical vocal concert by Manya Manjunath, accompanied by Prerana Praveen on violin and Shubhang Samaga on mridanga from 5 pm to 6.15 pm at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar on Apr. 28, the 10th programme under its ‘Aralu Prathibhe’ series.

City’s senior Gamaka artiste, Vid. Krishnagiri Ramachandra, who has been bestowed with ‘Kumaravyasa Gamaka Award’ recently by the Government of Karnataka will be felicitated by Prof. N.S. Tharanath at 6.30 pm. A gamaka programme on ‘Sundarakanda in Thorave Ramayana’ will be presented by Swathi Narasimhamurthy (in vachana) and senior scholar Vidu. Dr. Jyothi Shankar (in Vyakhyana) from 7 pm onwards.
