KPCC Member J.A. Karumbaiah passes away

Gonikoppal: Jammada A. Karumbaiah (83), KPCC Member and a resident of Kaikeri in Gonikoppal, South Kodagu, passed away this morning at his residence. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

Karumbaiah was the first Kodagu Zilla Panchayat President, who served from 1987 to 92  and was also the former President of Virajpet Taluk Board.

Last rites were performed at Kaikeri today, according to family sources.
