KPSC preliminary exams postponed to July 7

The preliminary examinations for the recruitment for 384 Gazetted Probationary Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ posts, which was earlier slated to be held on May 5, have now been postponed to July 7 by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), said KPSC Secretary Dr. K. Rakesh Kumar in a press release.

Also the last date of submitting applications has been extended to Apr. 15. Earlier, the last date for submitting applications was Apr. 3. But, in view of the Lok Sabha elections and for other reasons, KPSC has extended the last date to Apr. 15, he said. The gazette notification was issued for the appointment to 384 posts on Feb.26. Of the 384 posts, 159 fall under group ‘A’ and 225 under group ‘B’.  More details can be had by visiting the website of KPSC, the press release said. In addition, it is also stated in the release that those who appear for the preliminary examinations must compulsorily write Kannada and English papers.
