Mysuru: An expo of traditional board games of India ‘Kreedaa Kaushalya,’ organised by Ramsons Kala Pratishtana (RKP) commenced this morning at its premises, opposite Zoo here.
The expo is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm till May 5.
Inaugurating the expo, Police Training School Principal Dr. Dharanidevi Malagatti lauded the Pratishtana for promoting desi art and culture for the last 50 years.
She opined that the youth, despite the modernity, can explore the traditional board games to hone their mental skills.
Sri M.L. Varchusvin S.S. Raje Urs of Manteswamy Mutt graced the occasion. The expo features several desi board games like chess, number games, puzzles, chauka-bhara, chaduranga and many more.
Embossed art exhibits of Mummadi Krishna Raja Wadiyar playing a desi board game is an added attraction.
Pratishtana President D. Ram Singh, Secretary R. Gyaneshwar Singh, Curator Raghu and others were present.
