Mysuru: City danseuse Kripa Phadke of Nrityagiri Academy of Performing Arts and Research Centre has been invited as a resource person by Centre for Cultural Resource and Training (CCRT), New Delhi, to direct a dance drama at the ‘39th National Cultural Camp-cum-Festival’ being held in collaboration with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, New Delhi from Sept.22 to Oct.4.
The Festival is aimed at creating awareness about Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings to mobilise youth power for the nation’s growth; To understand the relevance of Bapu’s universal ideas in India and world of 21st Century; To motivate the youth for learning valuable lessons from Gandhiji’s life and act as an agent for social transformation
The Festival consists of the following activities: 1. Practical Classes for Group Productions/Presentations/Exhibitions with eminent Experts daily from 9 am to 3.30 pm; 2. Group activities on Shramdaan, spinning, yoga, theatre and comic workshop daily from 3.30 pm to 5 pm in different groups; 3. Solo performances by young budding scholar-artists daily from 5.30 pm to 8 pm; 4. Educational visits to places of historical and cultural importance related with Gandhiji’s life in and around Delhi to sensitise and understand the relevance of Mahatma’s teaching in contemporary world (Oct. 4); 5. Synchronised Dance-Ballet, Dance-Drama, Musical-Instrumental Compositions and Exhibition of Art Objects by talented Scholarship holders using different art forms in the valedictory of the Festival.
