Krishnarjuna Chariot replica at Millennium Circle

October 11, 2026

The replica of Arjuna’s Chariot, known as Nandighosha, believed to be gifted to Arjuna by Agni (God of Fire) and Varuna (God of Rain) during the burning of Khandava Forest, has been created at Millennium Circle (LIC Circle) in Bannimantap as part of this year’s Dasara illumination. This morning, the creators of the replica installed the statues of Lord Krishna, who served as the sarathi (charioteer) during the Kurukshetra war and  Arjuna, third of the five Pandava brothers. According to Mahabharata, Arjuna’s chariot had four horses — Shaibya, Sugriva, Meghapushpa and Balahaka but the above replica has five horses. People have been visiting the Millennium Circle to capture the visuals and the photographs of the illuminated chariot which has become viral in the social media.
