KRS Party to lay siege to MUDA Office on July 10

July 6, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly condemning the scams and irregularities in MUDA, the Karnataka Rashtra Samiti (KRS) Party will lay siege to MUDA Office on JLB Road here on July 10. Addressing a press meet here recently, KRS State Vice-President S.N. Lingarajegowda said that instead of punishing the errant MUDA officials, the Government has only transferred them, which is not right.

Alleging that thousands of sites have been illegally allotted to GPA holders, real estate agents and those who are not owners of acquired land, instead of allotting sites to genuine beneficiaries of 50:50 ratio plan, by receiving huge amount of money as kickback, he urged the Government to severely punish all those behind the massive scam.

Citing many examples on how sites were illegally allotted at will, Lingarajegowda said that in one case, a real estate developer was distributed more than a hundred sites, while several others were distributed more than 90 sites and a person who did not part with any land to MUDA too was given a few sites after creating fake documents.

Claiming that several senior officials of MUDA are involved in the scam, he urged the Government to crackdown on errant and corrupt officials.

KRS Legal Advisor Ravikumar said that MUDA has allotted high value sites illegally to the land mafia at a time when thousands of citizens are waiting for years to get a site. The MUDA has flouted all norms in allotment of sites to the wife of the Chief Minister, he alleged.

Party leaders K.S. Somasundar, Nagendra, Sundar, Premkumar and others were present.
