KRS Road garbage heap: An ugly sight

November 23, 2023

Sir,

If you are going to Brindavan Gardens via KRS Road, you will not miss this sight of garbage pile-up just after the Railway Crossing in front of Brigade Symphony Apartment, Metagalli.

It is an ugly and distasteful sight for a city aspiring to be one of the cleanest cities in India. People passing by, rich and poor, carry garbage in their two wheelers and even cars and fling the garbage in the blink of an eye.

As they say “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” should not remain a mere saying but should become an integral part of everyone’s lives. While the authorities should make an effort to keep the place clean and erect a board announcing hefty fines, citizens are equally to blame for such an attitude towards cleanliness. Will we change (?), only time will tell.
