KSCA M. Navin Chandar Memorial Inter-school Tournament: Marimallappa’s High School emerges victorious

Marimallappa’s High School, Mysuru, registered a 50-run win over Excel Public School, Mysuru, in the final to clinch the KSCA-M. Navin Chandar Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament held at the SDNR Wadiyar Stadium, here yesterday.

Put into bat first, Marimallappa’s HS scored 156 for nine in 30 overs. Sai Eshawar (two for 31) and Gagan R. Patil (two for 37) were the wicket takers for Excel Public school.

In reply, Excel Public School, Mysuru, could only score 106 for eight in 30 overs. Skipper Hrishab A. Singhavi (30) and opener Vinay Prem (20) were the only scorers. Left-arm spinner and skipper Abinoam G. Jacob took two for seven for the winners.

The prizes to the winners were given away by Veer Mohan, Praveen Chandar (brothers of Late M. Navin Chandar), Sudhakar Rai (Chairman, KSCA Zonal Committee) and S. Balachandar (Convener KSCA Mysore Zone) during the valedictory function held at the SDNR Wadiyar Stadium.
