KSCA Maharaja Trophy T20 Tournament – 2025: Mysore Warriors shortlists ten players for training camp in city

A total of 184 cricketers take part in ‘Talent Hunt’

Mysore/Mysuru: A total of ten players have been shortlisted during the second leg of ‘Talent Hunt’ conducted by Mysore Warriors at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium in city this morning.

The selected players will be a part of Mysore Warriors men’s cricket team camp for complete assessment before announcing the final two names of the selected players on Aug. 3.

The shortlisted players include: Manoj Ramesh, C. Dakshath, Vikas Gowda, R. Himesh, Swayam Raje Urs, Gowtham Sagar, M.R. Jayanth, C. Rithesh, A. Nikhil and K. Gaurav.

As many as 184 cricketers, including 31 batters, 53 medium pacers, 40 spinners, 50 all-rounders, 10 wicket-keepers from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar took part in the selection process.

The search for talented cricketers was done under the watchful eyes of Mysore Warriors Head Coach Rx Murali, Assistant Coach Vijay Madyalkar and Team Manger M.R. Suresh.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Suresh said, “The players selected in the Talent Hunt will be assessed during the training camp before the selection of two players is announced to be a part of the Mysore Warriors team.”

Mysore Warriors, who had retained Karun Nair, Prasidh Krishna, S.U. Karthik and S.A. Karthik, also picked up other players during the players auction held in Bengaluru on July 15.

This year’s KSCA Maharaja Trophy will be held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from Aug. 11 to 28, with no spectators allowed inside the Stadium. Defending Champions will begin their campaign this year against last year’s runner-up Bengaluru Blasters on Aug. 11.
