KSOU Deputy Registrar commits suicide

Mysore/Mysuru: Depressed over being allegedly cheated by two persons in a house purchase case, the Deputy Registrar of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has committed suicide by hanging self at his house yesterday leaving behind a death note.

The deceased is Manju Prasad (55). A resident of Chamundipuram in city, Manju Prasad had purchased a house at Jayalakshmipuram from two persons.

But when he wanted to sell the Jayalakshmipuram property, he came to know that the property documents were fake and depressed over this, Manju Prasad is said to have committed suicide. In the death note, Manju Prasad is said to have mentioned the names of two persons, who had allegedly cheated him, according to Police. Krishnaraja (KR) Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
