Mysore/Mysuru: Employees, including teaching and non-teaching staff of city-based KSOU (Karnataka State Open University), have donated their one day salary to the Chief Minister’s relief fund. The decision to donate salary was taken at a meeting of KSOU officials here on Monday.
In the wake of second wave of the deadly COVID-19 virus spreading across the State and some employees of KSOU being treated for the deadly virus at the COVID care centre set up in KSOU’s Academic Bhavan at Mandakalli , it was decided to deduct one day wages in the month of May for Purchase of Oxygen concentrators and Oxygen Masks.
Accordingly, 10 Oxygen Concentrators and Oxygen Masks were purchased and handed over to Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri at her office here on Monday.
KSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar, Registrar Prof. R. Rajanna, Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. K.M. Mahadevan, Finance Officer Khader Pasha, Special Officer Prof. Devaraj, Deans Prof. Ashok Kamble and Dr. Shanmuka and others were present.
