Mysuru, Sept.4 (NNN)- Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is organising the All India Open Universities Vice-Chancellors’ Conference on Sept.6 on the topic ‘Role of Open Universities in 21st Century: Issues and Challenges’ at the Convocation Bhavan in the KSOU premises at 11 am.
Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan, Deputy Chief Minister, Minister of Higher Education, IT&BT, Science and Technology and Pro-Chancellor, KSOU, will inaugurate the conference.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha will be the chief guest. University Grants Commission Joint Secretary Dr. Avichal Kapur will be the guest of honour. KSOU VC Dr. S. Vidyashankar will preside. Former KSOU VC Dr. N.S. Ramegowda is the Conference Chair.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar, MLCs and KSOU Board of Management Members Sandesh Nagaraj and Puttanna, MLA L. Nagendra who is also the Board of Management Member will be present, according to a press release from Prof. B. Ramesh, KSOU Registrar.
