KSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar is now VTU VC

Mysuru: The city-based KSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar has been appointed as the new VC of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) at Belagavi.

Governor-Chancellor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Thursday issued an order to this effect appointing Prof. Vidyashankar as the new VTU VC for a period of three years.

Prof. Vidyashankar had served as KSOU VC for 3 years and 4 months (May 2019 to Sept. 2022). His appointment as VTU VC comes following the end of the tenure of current VC Prof. Karisiddappa, who had been serving the University since 2016.

Following his appointment, Prof. Vidyashankar is likely to take charge as VTU VC today (Sept. 30), it is learnt.
