Mysuru: The KSRTC, Mysuru Rural Division, has paid Rs. 10 lakh as compensation to the family of a man who died after falling off from a moving KSRTC bus a couple of months ago.

The victim, H.B. Shivabeeregowda, was travelling on a Mysuru-Periyapatna route bus when he was thrown off his seat  near Chilkunda.

Shivabeeregowda slipped on to the footboard and subsequently fell off from the moving bus, sustaining severe injuries.

He was immediately rushed to Periyapatna General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The KSRTC Mysuru Rural Division Divisional Controller H.T. Veeresh recently handed over the Rs. 10 lakh compensation cheque to T.K. Gowramma, wife of the deceased Shivabeeregowda, according to a press release.
