KSRTC to add 20 more luxury buses

In yet another initiative in providing passenger comfort, the State-run KSRTC is adding 20 more Volvo luxury buses to its fleet. The KSRTC has planned to purchase 20 new high-end buses, costing Rs. 1.78 crore each. The KSRTC presently has 443 high-end buses in its fleet. As a first step in this regard, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, accompanied by KSRTC Chairman S.R. Srinivas, visited the Volvo Bus Manufacturing Plant near Hoskote recently, it is learnt.

The new buses are of aerodynamic design and have a good fuel efficiency. The buses are fitted with an improvised engine, have more space between seats and an improvised vision for drivers.
