‘Kuvempu Shikshana Chetana’ Award ceremony tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Adamya Rangashale has organised ‘Kuvempu Shikshana Chetana’ Award presentation ceremony and staging of play by children on Nov. 18 at 5.30 pm at Swami Vivekananda PU College’s  Kuvempu Rangamandira in Jayalakshmipuram, according to Secretary of Rangashale, Chandru Mandya.

Additional Deputy Commissioner R. Lokanath will inaugurate the programme while Director of Prasaranga, University of Mysore,  Prof. Nanjaiah Honganur, also a folk scholar, will preside.

 Honorary Secretary of Adamya Rangashale T. Satish Javaregowda will deliver keynote address. Pampa Awardee writer Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) will present the award. President of The Nest Trust Lion D.S. Satish will be the chief guest.

Recipients of Kuvempu Shikshana Chetana Award are:

Administrative Officer of BGS Educational Institutions, Mysuru, Dr. R.S. Narasegowda; Principal of Maharaja’s Government PU College, N. Udayshankar; Principal, Government Girls PU College, Hassan, G.T. Annapoorna; Principal, Government Girls PU College, Hunsur, A. Ramegowda; Kannada lecturer, Government Boys PU College, Nanjangud, K. Malathi; Government PU College, Basaralu, Mandya taluk, Lokesh Bekkalale; Kannada lecturer, Sadvidya Composite PU College, Mysuru, K.P. Manjunath and Kannada lecturer, Gopalaswamy PU College, G.R. Srivatsa.

After the award presentation ceremony, children of Adamya Rangashale will be staging the play ‘Uyyo Uyyo Maleraya’ written by Krishnamurthy Biligere, directed by M. Manoj with music by Loknath Sogam.
