KUWJ Awards for city journos

Mysuru: As many as 33 Journalists from across the State, including two from the city, have bagged the State-level  Annual Journalism Awards given by Bengaluru-based Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ).

While Star of Mysore English Eveninger and its sister concern Mysuru Mithra Kannada Daily Chief Reporter S.T. Ravikumar has bagged P. Ramaiah Award, Vijayavani Kannada Daily Mysuru Resident Editor M.R. Satyanarayana has bagged Gommata Media Award.

The other awardees include Basavaraj Heggade of Mandya (H.K. Veerannagowda Memorial Award) and K.K. Bopanna of Kodagu (Rajashekar Koti Award).

The awards will be conferred at a programme to take place at Koppal in North Karnataka on Mar. 9, according to a press release from KUWJ President Shivananda Tagadur.
