Mysuru: A construction labourer, who was transporting iron rods to the terrace of a house at Beedi Colony in Azeez Sait Nagar here was electrocuted on Wednesday when an iron rod touched the power line.

The deceased is Prakash, a native of Gundlupet who was residing at Ghousianagar in city.

Deceased Prakash’s wife in her complaint to Udayagiri Police has stated that despite the power line passing close to the roof of the house, owner Sheik Mohiuddin and Contractor Puttaraju had not taken any precautionary measures which resulted in the death of her husband.

Udayagiri Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
