Labourer killed after falling from truck

Mysore/Mysuru: A 22-year-old labourer was killed after he fell from a moving truck near Mandakalli Airport on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road on Tuesday.

The deceased is Fazil (22), son of Abdul Mubarak and a resident of Ghousianagar in city.

Fazil, after loading empty flower crates into the truck was proceeding towards Gundlupet by sitting on the empty flower crates. When the truck was proceeding near Mandakalli Airport, Fazil, who lost balance, fell on the road along with the empty crates resulting in him suffering  serious head injuries.

He was rushed to a private hospital in city and was being taken to NIMHANS in Bengaluru for further treatment where he breathed his last mid way, according to Mysuru South Rural Police Sub-Inspector Vanaraju, who has registered a case. The body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and body handed over to family members.
