Lack of ‘air filling facility’ in city petrol bunks

August 19, 2022

Sir,

The cost of petrol paid by the consumer also includes facilities like toilet, drinking water and free air to the vehicles.

However, in most of the city petrol bunks, whenever petrol is purchased / filled to the vehicles, the air filling facility is not there. On enquiry, the bunk guys standard reply is either the unit is not working, or the in-charge person has gone for coffee, lunch or absent.

This is happening for many months and a meagre air filling station is not monitored by the respective oil companies.

I request that agencies concerned may strictly advise the bunks under their jurisdiction to provide at least air filling to vehicles and not to make the hapless customer run from one place to another for want of just air.
