Lathi-charge on PFI activists in M’luru: Protest staged in Mysuru

Mysuru – Condemning Police lathi-charge on Popular Front of India (PFI) activists in Mangaluru, PFI activists of Mysuru staged a protest at Fountain Circle near Central Prisons in city yesterday.

The protesters alleged that Police lathi-charged the activists injuring many who were staging protest near the Police Commissioner’s office in Mangaluru following the arrest of  two persons.

They demanded the release of Ahmed Qureshi, who they termed as innocent and urged the Government to take action against the erring Police officials, involved in the lathi-charge.

PFI leader Ameen Sait and others led the protest.
