Mysuru: Suttur Mutt, Mysuru, as part of its monthly moonlight music-202 programme, has organised a lecture by Prof. K.B. Prabhu Prasad and a Karnatak vocal music concert by Vid. Maharajapuram Ramachandran on July 27 at 6 pm in the Mutt premises, foot of Chamundi Hill.
Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Vid. Maharajapuram Ramachandran will be accompanied by Vid. C.N. Thyagarajan on violin and Vid. H.L. Shivashankar Swamy on mridanga.

Prof. K.B. Prabhu Prasad has worked for 34 years as lecturer and retired as Principal. He has written many works in Kannada and English languages. His work titled ‘Degulagala Daari’ has won Loka Shikshana Trust Award.
Vid. Maharajapuram Ramachandran, as his name suggests, hails from the famed Maharajapuram lineage. This solid background has helped him earn a name for himself and carve a niche as the authentic heir of the Maharajapuram style. He has a stronghold on lakshya and lakshana in Karnatak music.He is well-versed in Solo and Jugalbandi performance.
Vid. C.N. Thyagarajan is working as a violin teacher at Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS). He belongs to Mysore T. Chowdiah tradition.
Vid. H.L. Shivashankar Swamy is from Mysuru and a disciple of Vid. T.R. Sridhar. An ‘A’ grade artiste of Mysuru Akashavani, he has accompanied many popular senior artistes in musical concerts.
