Mysuru:  An Engineering College lecturer allegedly committed suicide by hanging self in city.

The deceased is Santosh (25), a native of Dasaraguppe in Srirangapatna takuk of Mandya district, who was working as a lecturer at a private Engineering College in city and was residing alone at Metagalli here.

He committed suicide yesterday morning and the reason for him to take the extreme step is yet to be known, according  to the Police.

A case has been registered at Metagalli Police Station in  this regard.
