Mysore/Mysuru: A miscreant has snatched a gold chain of a lecturer on Deepavali day. The incident took place near Gantebasappa Temple in Dattagalli here.

The lecturer, who lost her gold chain is 32-year-old Annapoorna, a resident of E&F Block in Dattagalli.

On Oct. 24 evening, Annapoorna was proceeding to the temple when the miscreant came near her and yanked off her 25 grams gold mangalya chain and fled towards another person, waiting on a two-wheeler and sped away.

Kuvempunagar Police have registered a case.
