Legal awareness for students at Cauvery Institutions

Mysuru:  A legal awareness programme was organised jointly by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mysuru Bar Association, Arivu Organisation and Cauvery Educational Institutions at its premises in Kuvempunagar here this morning.

Inaugurating the programme, Senior Civil Judge and DLSA Member-Secretary C.G. Mohammed Muzeerullah said that students should be aware of legal issues like first-aid. He said students of today are citizens of tomorrow and hence they should abide by stipulated laws. He asked them to be united and respect the Constitution.

Cauvery Institutions Chairman Prof. K.C. Belliappa presided. Vice-Chairman B.M. Nanaiha, Treasurer M.P. Aiyappa, Bar Association President B.V. Ramamurthy, ‘Arivu’ President Srikanth Kashyap and others were present.

Senior lawyer Sunder Raj spoke on Motor Vehicles Act while Psychologist Jyoti spoke on ills of consuming tobacco.
