Sir,
While the entire nation is getting and moving on to digitalisation and paperless offices at all sectors, it seems RTO Mysuru is going backwards in this regard.
Decades ago, the RC issued by RTO were in book format, which later was downsized and then to small one. Subsequently, RTO introduced RC cards in the plastic card format with chip insertion. However, it is surprising to note that the vehicle owners who obtain loan from financial institutions under HP tie-up and after clearance of loan, approach RTO for cancellation of HP, the RTO is issuing the RC on a low quality grade paper with a barcode insertion.
The RC so issued has to be laminated by vehicle owners. I don’t understand why RTO is issuing such an important document on a low quality paper?
Will the Transport Department or concerned look into this and revert to issuing RC cards in plastic card form, as was done earlier ?
