LIC Employees Union to support General Strike on Nov.26

The All India LIC Employees Federation to which the LIC Employees Union, Mysuru is affiliated, has given a call for LIC employees to observe one day strike on Nov.26, supporting the strike call given by Central Trade Unions like AITUC, CITU to be observed by the entire working class all over India. This strike is being held to oppose: 1. Anti-labour policies of Central Government; 2. Anti- farmer policies; 3. Anti-people economic policies; 4. Pro- capitalist and Corporate policies. Apart from the general demands of the working class, All India LIC Employees Federation demands:

  1. To stop disinvestment of LIC and issue of IPOs. 2. To provide Index linked pension scheme in place of Defined Contribution Pension Scheme made compulsory for LIC employees joined after 1.4.2010. 3. To settle wage revision and other issues long pending since 1st Aug. 2017, according to a press release from B.G. Balaji, All India Vice-President, All India LIC Employees Federation.
