Light music in memory of Raju Ananthaswamy’s 50th birthday

Mysore/Mysuru: Nadaamruta School of Music has organised a Light Music programme to commemorate the 50th birthday of late Raju Ananthaswamy under the title ‘Raju Gaana Lahari-2023: Raju 50’ at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in Ramkrishnanagar in the city on Apr. 23 from 5.30 pm.

Addressing a press conference at Patrakartara Bhavan yesterday, Founder of the School Nitin Rajaram Shastri said that songs composed by Raju Ananthaswamy and his father Mysore Ananthaswamy will be presented. Entry for the event will be free.

Programme Head of All India Radio S.S. Umesh will inaugurate. Arjun Guruji will grace the occasion. Singer Mahesh Priyadarshan will be presented ‘Ananthaswamy Ganaratna’ award and Tabla artiste Vinay Rangadhol will be presented ‘Raju Naadaratna’ award.

Music School’s Secretary Amruta, office-bearers Rajbhat, Nandini, Shivakumar and Gururaj were present at the press conference.
