Lightning injures labourers in Hunsur

Hunsur:  Two labourers sustained injuries when lightning struck them at Channasoge village, Hanagodu hobli in Hunsur taluk  last evening.

The injured are Vishwanath and Ramachandra of Maakanahalli Palya in Periyapatna taluk.

The two were working as construction labourers at the under-construction house belonging to Sumithramma and Srinivas couple at Channasoge village when rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, began to lash the place. Soon,   lightning struck a coconut tree in front of the house which caught fire and the impact of the lightning was such that it rendered Vishwanath and Ramachandra unconscious.

The injured were immediately rushed to the Hunsur General Hospital, where they are said to be out of danger.
