Lightning kills man, dog

Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a man and his dog were killed when lightning struck them at Nadanahalli in the taluk yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Nagaraju (45), a resident of Kempaianahundi who was working as a watchman at a farm house in  Nadanahalli.

It is reported that as heavy rains pounded the city yesterday, Nagaraju, came out to let the dog into a shelter, but lightning struck him and his dog, killing them, said Village Accountant Parashivamurthy.
