Lingayats to take out rally in city tomorrow to demand separate religion

Mysuru: Demanding separate religion status, Lingayats will take out a rally in city tomorrow, according to Lingayat Co-ordination   Committee President H.P. Gangadhar Swamy.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Gangadhar Swamy said that rally will urge the State Government to recommend the Centre for recognising Lingayat as a separate religion.

The rally will commence at 10.30 am outside the City Court Complex to the DC’s Office, where a memorandum seeking separate religion status of   Lingayats will be submitted,  he said and added that many Lingayat organisations will take part in the rally.
