The Region Meet of Region-X of International Association of Lions Clubs, District 317A, was inaugurated by Sri Nataraja Swamiji of Gavadagere Mutt at Jayamma Govindegowda Choultry here.
As part of its service activities, the Club donated Rs. 25,000 to ISKCON, Rs. 5,000 to Akshara Patra and Rs. 5,000 to a kidney patient. Also, three sewing machines, one wheelchair and 15 umbrellas were distributed to the needy persons.
Dustbins were donated to MCC and medicinal plants were distributed to all invitees.
Ln. G.P. Diwakar, Dr. Nagaraj – MCC Health Officer, Ln. Chandra Mohan, Ln. M. Anil Kumar, District Governor, Rajashekar Koti, Journalist, Ln. C.B. Srishaila, Ln. Girija Shaila, Ln. Kalegowda, Ln. T.V. Raghothama Rao and Ln. M.D. Kumar were present on the occasion.
